What is IFA? The International Fiscal Association (IFA), established in 1938, is the only non-governmental and non-sectoral international organization dealing with fiscal matters. Its objectives are the study and advancement of international and comparative law in regard to public finance, specifically international and comparative fiscal law and the financial and economic aspects of taxation. Activities of IFA IFA acts through its Annual Congresses and the scientific publications relating thereto as well as through scientific research. Although the operations of the IFA are essentially scientific in character, the subjects selected cover crucial issues of current fiscal developments and changes in local legislation. Membership in IFA consists of high level representatives from both the private and the public sectors, including the Courts, Universities and international governmental and non-governmental organizations. Benefits of membership:
About IFA in Kazakhstan As Kazakhstan recently joined the Custom’s Union and actively participates in global economic activity, for Kazakhstani business it becomes more and more important to be up-to-date regarding all changes in external and internal economic and tax developments.
In order to accomplish this task our Center is intending to set up a branch of the International Fiscal Association (IFA) in Kazakhstan. IFA offers the necessary forum to experts belonging to different sectors of society, where opinions on topics of international taxation can be exchanged with respect for each other's background and responsibilities. We kindly invite you to contribute to the establishment of the branch of IFA in Kazakhstan by becoming a direct member of it. If necessary, we would like to make a presentation for the employees of your company about IFA and its benefits, and answer all your questions concerning membership in this organization. How to become a member?
Membership in IFA will greatly benefit your company, because it will give you access to the most recent changes in local and international legislation and provide you with a continuous flow and exchange of this information, which in turn will lead to better decisions of your top managers.
As Kazakhstan currently has no IFA Branch established, your application should be made to the General Secretariat accompanied by a recommendation from two members of the Association.
